Daniel Bruhl is already well respected for his methodical acting and he shined in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Bastard. For the weekend of October 06, 2013, Rush is estimated to reach a weekly gross of $30 million domestically and $30 million internationally for a total of $60 million in world wide weekly ticket sales from more than 50 territories.  That would represent a cumulative worldwide box office gross for Rush of approximately $100 million by the end of October 06, 2013.

For the weekend of October 13, 2013, Rush is estimated to reach a weekly gross of $20 million domestically and $20 million internationally for a total of $40 million in world wide weekly ticket sales from more than 50 territories.  That would represent a cumulative worldwide box office gross for Rush of approximately $150 million by the end of October 13, 2013.

For the weekend of October 20, 2013, Rush is estimated to reach a weekly gross of $10 million domestically and $20 million internationally for a total of $30 million in world wide weekly ticket sales from more than 50 territories.  That would represent a cumulative worldwide box office gross for Rush of approximately $180 million by the end of October 20, 2013.

Set against the glamorous golden age of Formula 1 racing in the 1970s, the film is based on the a biography and about a great sporting rivalry between the methodical Austrian Formula 1 champion driver Niki Lauda (played by Daniel Bruhl ) and his handsome rival James Hunt (played by Chris Hemsworth ). The story follows their distinctly different personal styles on and off the track, their loves and the astonishing 1976 Formula One season and the 1976 crash that almost claimed Niki Lauda’s life. Mere weeks after the horrifying crash, Niki Lauda got behind the wheel to challenge his British rival, James Hunt to risk everything to become world champion in a sport with no margin for error.
