What is going on at the old Hopper compound in Venice? Its new owner–who just bought it from actor Dennis Hopper’s estate last summer–has been trying to rent out bits and pieces since the purchase and has now just put the whole thing on the market for exactly what he paid: $5 million. The compound includes a main house by architect Brian Murphy, three Frank Gehry-designed condos, and a 1909 one-bedroom cottage, plus a pool and poolhouse, on about a quarter of an acre. After Hopper died in 2010, his compound spent two years languishing and pricechopping before finally selling last August for $5 million. · 330 Indiana Avenue Venice, CA [Estately] · Dennis Hopper’s Gehry/Murphy/Etc.
